DMC The Netherlands

The activities can generally be related to infrastructure projects and marine and coastal projects. As a result of its relation with the BAM Group there has always been a focus on large Infrastructure projects in the Netherlands, but also in other countries in Europe and worldwide where the company is and has been active.

Activities vary from concept design and feasibility studies to detail design and (more recently) maintenance management. The trend in business from traditional contracts to Design and Contruct and Private  Public Partnerships (which is very strong in the Netherlands) has allowed the company to further develop its knowledge and experience along the full length of supply chain.

DMC has a relatively large coastal design department with a long track record. Innovation has always been encouraged within the team and this has resulted in successful innovations such as Xbloc® and Boxbarrier®. DMC can efficiently produce optimised and validated designs for breakwaters and coastal defence structures due to the fact that it operates its own test facility with wave flume.
