First Xbloc® application in France

Contract signed for application Xbloc concrete armour units Das Island, Abu Dhabi

Delta Marine Consultants (DMC) has signed a contract with Van Oord for the application of Xbloc concrete armour units on the shore protection of the land reclamation of the Planned development area in Das Island, Abu Dhabi.

21st European Young Geotechnical Engineers Conference

DMC supports the European Young Geotechnical Engineers 2011 (EYGEC 2011). EYGEC 2011 will be organized by the Dutch department of the ISSMGE from September 4th – 7th, 2011. Young geotechnicians from all over the world will visit EYGEC 2011. William van Niekerk (president of NSSMGE) will welcome the young geotechnicians.

License Agreement signed for Swinoujscie LNG Terminal, Poland

Delta Marine Consultants (DMC) has signed a license agreement with the joint venture of Boskalis and Per Aarsleff for the application of Xbloc concrete armour units on the breakwater for the LNG terminal of Swinoujscie, Poland.

Coasts and Ports 2011, Perth, Australia

The Xbloc team will attend the Coasts and Ports 2011 Conference.

License Agreement signed with Boskalis for Pointe Noire

Delta Marine Consultants (DMC) has signed a license agreement with Royal Boskalis Westminister for the application of Xbloc breakwater armour units on the breakwater extension of the port of Pointe Noire, Congo-Brazzaville.

Floating Pod

As part of the redevelopment of Marina Bay and the old Clifford Pier in Singapore a new boutique hotel has been developed for Precious Quay Pte Ltd in Singapore. Attached to the hotel are a floating spa and meeting rooms as well as a floating entertainment pod. This pod is a circular structure with full glass walls that will give the occupants the feeling they are virtually at the water level while offering unrestricted views of the surrounding skyline.

Military Edition BoxBarrier

During the Armour Day of the Royal Dutch Army Corps of Engineers a special edition of the BoxBarrier was presented.

First independent import terminal for oil products in Jakarta, Indonesia opened

On a construction site in the city of Den Bosch the double stack BoxBarrier concept has been tested successfully.

Innovation Award BoxBarrier

First vessel at Berth 5

The Vopak Horizon Fujairah Limited (VHFL) phase 5 off-shore expansions has been successfully completed and first vessel has arrived at the new Berth 5 on the morning of the 20^th of December 2009.

Launch of first issue "Levende Waterbouw"

Xbloc shore protection Cinta Costera, Panama, completed

The contractor Odebrecht has completed the Xbloc shore protection of the Cinta Costera, Panama. The shore protection was completed 18 months after the first Xblocs were cast. A total of 25,000 Xblocs have been placed

Eco Xbloc on Dutch Television

In May 2009, the Eco Xblocs at IJmuiden were shown to the Dutch Public on TV Noord-Holland; in the program Noord-Holland rond in 360 graden.

Xbloc project Caladh Mor Overall Winner 2008 Irish Concrete Society Awards

The Xbloc Project of Caladh Mor has won the 2008 Irish Concrete Society Award on the 28th of March in Dublin, Ireland.

20 Years Delta Marine Consultants Singapore

Delta Marine Consultants has worked in Asia from the start but established on office in Singapore in 1989. This 20 year milestone was celebrated on March 20 with a seminar organised for clients and partners from Singapore and beyond. Mr. William van Niekerk, MD of DMC parent BAM Infraconsult together with 2 other colleagues flew over to address the audience together with presentations from Singapore staff.
