Last summer 32 special blocks were placed on the dike. These blocks are made of various innovative concrete mixes which all reduce the carbon footprint of the material.

Last week the first XP-Trans blocks were cast by Zbych - Pol & Mobet for the Vistula Spit Project in Poland. This block was developed by DMC from idea via BIM modelling, physical modelling to production in Poland.

In August 2017 BAM International has been awarded a contract for the design and construct of the Tanjung Jati B Power Station Units 5 and 6 extension, located near Jepara, Central Java, Indonesia for which Delta Marine Consultants made the design. 

In January 2017, Singapore based Sembcorp Industries signed a build-operate-transfer agreement with the Ministry of Electricity and Energy of Myanmar, for the development of 225-megawatt Sembcorp Myingyan gas-fired power plant in Mandalay, Myanmar. The power plant becomes one of the biggest gas-fired power plants in the country, upon commissioning in 2018.

Placement trials have been performed in Zeewolde for the Afsluitdijk project.

The new concrete armour unit XblocPlus will officially be introduced at the ICCE conference in Baltimore this summer. DMC will be present with a booth and two paper presentations.
