ECC Jetties/RoRo, Singapore
On Pulau Bukom, an island located about 30 minutes from Singapore an Ethylene Cracker installation with a capacity of 8000,000 ton per year and a Mono Ethylene Glycol plant with an annual production of 750,000 ton were to be established. After DMC has provided a concept study in 2006 the client requested DMC to carry out the Detailed Design of the marine facilities.
Scope of Work
The scope of the works consists of the following structures: Unloading quay, Ro-Ro quay wall and 2 passenger ferry terminals with floating jetties. The facilities are required for the construction of the petro-chemical plant and must thus comply with special requirements on loadings and geometry.
DMC has prepared Concept Designs and developed these further into construction plans for all steel concrete and piling works. On-site design assistance has been provided for the contractor.
